Preschool & Tots Gymnastic Programs
Our Tot Program features traditional gymnastics equipment scaled down to suit the size of the child, in a fun and nurturing environment. These classes utilize various props, music, and movement to develop confidence on the equipment, strength, balance, coordination, and core stability. Our TOT classes introduce all aspects of Gymnastics and are suitable for every child’s development. Our Specialty TOT Classes focus on a specific area of Gymnastics and are indicated below.
Tumble Buddies (Ages 1 – 3)
Parent participation required. Children do not have to be potty trained. Tumble Buddies utilizes exposure to all aspects of gymnastics movement to increase growth and development. This class focuses on partnering with parents to developing skills and confidence but also helps introduce the transition into independence inside and outside of the gym. We integrate activities that support separation from parents and allow the student to participate in “child only classes” when they turn 3 and are potty trained. Wiggle Worms (Age 3)
Parent participation is not needed. This is the first level in our TOT gymnastics programming where children participate without parents’ accompaniment. Students must be potty trained. This level emphasizes socialization of the student and integration into the understanding of class structure. To learn more or register,
Tumble Bee’s (Age 4)
As Students develop, they transition into doing skills independently, and introduction to sequencing and following more complex movement patterns. To learn more or register, click here.
Fire Flies (Age 5)
As Students develop, they begin doing skills in sequence and are introduced to more advanced skill progressions and movement patterns. To learn more or register, click here.
Jumping Beans (Ages 3 & 4, or 5 & 6)
Ages 3-4 (Must be potty trained) OR for 5- & 6-year-olds. Jumping Beans is a specialty TOT class that emphasizes use of trampolines, Tumble Trak, Mini and Double-Mini trampoline, and tumbling basics, in an age-appropriate environment. These classes utilize various props and equipment to develop floor tumbling skills, balance, coordination, and core stability. To learn more or register, click here.
Girls Little Leapers (Ages 4 – 6)
The Little Leapers specialty class is an introduction to using equipment such as rope, hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon, combined with a variety of dance movements done to music. Gymnasts begin working flexibility and developing basic tumbling skills along with leaps, balances and turning skills. Dance is heavily incorporated into this class program. Boys Only & Co-Ed North Shore Junior Ninja (Ages 3 & 4)
Students must be potty trained. This TOT Specialty class utilizes all aspects of gymnastics along with our Ninja Structure and Warped Wall scaled down to the meet the needs of younger students. This class develops coordination, balance, agility, upper body strength and core stability that assists young students to move quickly and effortlessly in the face of obstacles and achieve maximal fitness in a fun fast paced environment. Several gymnastics principles are included in this course, such as wheeling, rolling, jumping, and safe falling techniques. Future Stars, Dyno-Mites, Mini-Mites (Invitation Only)
This is an advanced class, by invitation only, for students who participate in our TOT programming. Instructors recommend students and families are contacted for participation.

The USA Gymnastics Safe Sport Policy
The USA Gymnastics Safe Sport Policy is the foundation for rules, policies and responsibilities for athlete safety and well-being and the prevention of abuse. The policy encompasses therequirements of the “Safe Sport Code for the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Movements” and federal laws, including the “Protecting Young Victims and Safe Sport Authorization Act of 2017.” North Shore Academy of Gymnastics is committed to the health and safety of all its athletes, physically, mentally and emotionally. We adhere to all USA Gymnastics and Safe Sport Policies and have a Safety Champion that acts as a liaison for the club and its members.
