TOT FITNESS / GYMNASTIC CLASSES
Children 1 year through 5 years
Tumble Buddies 1, 2, & 3yrs (30/45 min.) Parent and Child interactive class stressing movement, fun and learning through gymnastics exploration. Using gymnastics equipment, music and a class structure designed for 1, 2 and 3 year olds, we will encourage our Tumble Buddies to be physically active. (Children must be walking).
Wiggle Worms 3yrs (45 min.)
Tumble Bees 4yrs (45 min.)
Jumping Beans 3-5yrs (45 min.) Jumping Beans is a trampoline and tumbling class designed for Tots. Students will increase air sense and be introduced to basic tumbling skill progressions.
Fire Flies 5yrs (45 min.) Progressive, age appropriate curriculums designed for 3, 4, and 5 year olds. Our positive teaching staff encourages your child’s gymnastics development, social skills and goal setting abilities. Every level utilizes ALL of the gym equipment, scaled down to accommodate the younger children. As your child progresses through the levels, the emphasis shifts slightly from movement based patterns and basic strength and flexibility to more recognizable gymnastics skills (as your child’s strength and spatial awareness allows).
Little Samurai 3-4yrs (45 min.) Emphasis on taking directions, being part of a group, in a circuit format. Boys will learn progressions and terminology for skills used in Samurai training including rolling, vaulting, basic large gross motor skills, jumping, and falling, swinging, climbing, etc.
Tot Open Gym 1-5yrs (1.5 hours) Great opportunity for parent and child interactive gymnastics play time. Supervised open gym for ages 6 and under. Child must be accompanied by an adult. (Fee applies to child only).
Small Groups – 10:1 student to teacher ratio
Training on all Olympic Events (Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam, Tumbling & Trampoline)

Special Event Days
Beginner (1 hour) This class is a fundamental introduction to the basics of gymnastics on all 4 Olympic events. This class is appropriate for children with limited or no experience.
Developmental (1 hour) As strength and flexibility increases, the gymnast will build on skills learned at the Beginner level, progressing from basic to more complex skills.
Rec 1 / Rec 2 / Rec 3 / Rec 4 & Up (1.5 hrs) Continuing in our progressive program, these levels offer more challenging skills and combinations along with short routines on each event.
Rec 4 & Up is the culmination of our Recreation Program, however it is not the end of the learning process. Children continue to learn more challenging new skills, combinations and routines as they progress through this level, working toward each individual’s potential.
Tramp & Tumble
Boys & Girls 6yrs & older (1 hour) Beginner Level: No skills required to enter
Developmental Level Required Skills: Must have passed out of Beginner Level, Cartwheels, handstands, 5 position tramp jumps, stick dismount off Double Mini Tramp.
Intermediate (Level 1) Required Skills: Must have passed out of Developmental Level, Puppy Flip, Combinations on Tramp Round off.
Intermediate (Level 2) Required Skills: Must have passed out of Intermediate Level 1, Front Tuck Combination Tumbling on Floor.
Advanced Level Required Skills: Must have passed out of Intermediate Level 2, Headspring, Front Handspring, Tramp Back Handspring (no spot).
Hot Shots: Must have passed out of Advanced Level, Tramp Back Tuck, Running Tumbling onto Resi Pit.
Rhythmic Gymnastics Level 1 (5 – 7yrs old) (45 min.) Where ballet meets gymnastics! The rhythmic classes are based on gymnast age. Level 1 is for ages 5-7yrs. The challenge of hand apparatus (rope, hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon) combined with a variety of dance movements, creates a fun and exciting form of gymnastics. Rhythmic Gymnastics has an extra emphasis on flexibility within leap, balance and turning skills.
Level 2 (8yrs & older) (1 hour) Where ballet meets gymnastics! The rhythmic classes are based on gymnast age. Level 2 is for ages 8yrs and Up. The challenge of hand apparatus (rope, hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon) combined with a variety of dance movements, creates a fun and exciting form of gymnastics. Rhythmic Gymnastics has an extra emphasis on flexibility within leap, balance and turning skills.
Samurai Warrior (5-11yrs) (1 hour) Training for fundamental body movement, basic skills including forward rolling for safety, back flip progressions, basic vaulting, wall and bar progressions, basic kicking and punching technique and development of core strength and speed.
High School (1.5hrs) An intense 9 week preparatory class for the competitive high school gymnast, emphasizing pre-season strength, flexibility and skill development.

North Shore Academy of Gymnastics is all about COMMUNITY. In the gym we are a family! We encourage, support, learn and grow together! We also believe in community outside of the gym with lasting friendships, giving back to our own community, and being a family always.
INTEGRITY is not just a word to live by but to implement daily as well. We encourage our gymnasts to do what is right inside the gym and outside the gym. Even when no one is looking, NSAG Gymnasts continue to prove their integrity during practice, and the people they grow into outside of the gym.
